Government president, Comrade Nwanna
Chukwuemeka, has made series of strong
statements aimed at cautioning those seeking
admission into the university through the
2015/16 admission processes or their parents/
guardians to refrain from paying anyone any
money in the bid to upgrade their post UTME
scores or to gain admission.
Speaking to Myimsu.com on Tuesday, 8th
September, the IMSU SUG president who was
monitoring the state of the post UTME
processes in and around the school alongside
other SUG executives and task force said the
university administration is doing what it can
to sanitize the admission system and the SUG
is doing all it can to support the move. He
stated that gone are the days when people
made payments for their post UTME exam
scores to be upgraded or for them to be
granted admission.
The SUG president said both candidates and
their parents and guardians should keep off
anyone who tempts them to spend their hard
earned money to try and upgrade post UTME
exam scores or to get admission as such will
be waste of money. He said the university
under the leadership of the Acting Vice
Chancellor, Adaobi Obasi, is doing all it can to
make sure that admission is only gotten by the
right means.
"Candidates and parents should not pay one
kobo to anyone inside or outside the school in
the name of upgrading their results or to buy
admission into the school, it will not work".
The SUG president known popularly as Legacy
said.
He also added that the SUG and the IMSU
press team have been working tirelessly in
monitoring how the post UTME examinations
are going and they have intervened in
situations where things were not going to well
and that the university authorities have been
according them the team adequate respect
and responses.
